Location

The hotel was constructed on the right bank of the River Danube, between 1916 and 1918 and has maintained the highest recognition ever since. Its opulent spaces and pools have been the most favoured centre of Budapest's social life. This grand Art Nouveau-style building shares its premises with the most beautiful medicinal bath of Hungary, the Gellert Thermal Spring Bath. The majority of the rooms and elegant suites offer a panoramic view of the Danube with the Liberty Bridge and the picturesque Gellert Hill. The health spa of the Gellért Bath and Spa Budapest, with its direct access from hotel Gellért, is founded on the utilisation of Gellért Hill's mineral hot springs, the water of which is content-rich in calcium, magnesium, hydrocarbonate, alkalis, chloride, sulphate, and fluoride.

Please note that the Gellért bath is under the management of Budapest Spas and Thermal Waters Co. Ltd and is operated independently from the hotel. Spa opening hours and operating standards are therefore outside the control of hotel management. No examination /treatment on Saturdays and Sundays.
