Atlantis The Palm is a brand new resort situated on Dubai's exclusive Palm Island and occupies 46 acres of the Crescent overlooking Jumeirah Beach. Using the underwater six-lane highway connecting The Palm to the mainland, the centre of Dubai is just a 25 minute drive away or you can catch a monorail which also connects The Palm to Dubai's centre. The village centre of The Palm, situated at the tip of The Palm trunk is just five minutes from the Atlantis Hotel.
The world-famous Atlantis Dubai is a luxurious marine-themed resort full of attractions that will surprise, excite and stun guests from the first moment they arrive until the minute they leave. The hotel encapsulates the Ambassador Lagoon which is home to more than 65,000 fish and marine animals including schools of shark, manta ray and brightly coloured fish. Guests can view the mystical relics and ruins of the ancient city of Atlantis, through which these diverse sea creatures roam and wander through tunnels, recreating the ancient streets of Atlantis. You can also feed rays, go behind the scenes or enjoy a scuba dive in the Lagoon.
Atlantis The Palm is also home to Dolphin Bay, a four-and-a-half hectare lush tropical setting modeled carefully on the dolphins natural habitat. There are three vast lagoons where you can meet and play with these graceful, charismatic creatures through a choice of interactions, suitable for various ages and swimming abilities. It really does offer an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience where you can wade in waist-deep, touch, hug, hold flippers and play ball or join one of the dolphins in the more intimate environment of the lagoon and perhaps even enjoy the thrill of a signature belly-ride back to the shore .
Atlantis The Palm is also not short of thrills and spills as there are water coasters, cascades, slides and rivers to float along in Dubai's largest new water park, Aquaventure. Many of the slides shoot you through clear underwater tunnels where you can see the marine life and there are areas of the water park suitable for smaller guests as well as a beach area for those just looking to relax in the sunshine. The facilities for kids continues with a kids club suitable for 4 to 12 year olds, a special area for teens called Club Rush, an exclusive, safe, non-alcoholic, supervised environment with thematic lighting, the latest technology and a state-of the-art sound system in its alcohol-free bar, chill-out lounge, internet cafe and games zone.
You can dine onsite at one of the 16 restaurants and bars (which includes the region's first NOBU and four celebrity chefs) or relax in the Atlantis Spa, which has an impressive 27 treatment rooms, as well as state-of-the-art fitness centre and a host of massages, facials and body treatments as well as both male and female salons with hairdressing and quality products. Shopaholics will love The Avenue, which has over 25 boutiques and if you still have some get up and go then the Atlantis's exclusive nightclub, Sanctuary, is the place to be seen. It even has a chilled terrace area where you can enjoy the cool desert nights.
Each of the Atlantis Hotel's 1,373 spacious guestrooms and 166 suites is designed with subtle oceanic and Arabic influences and enjoys spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf or Palm Jumeirah itself. Eating and Drinking
The wining and dining options at Atlantis The Palm are superb. Among the fine dining options are Ossiano, an elegant restaurant featuring fine dining and contemporary Catalan-inspired cuisine, including tapas at the bar, inspired by the sea and infused with modern Mediterranean flavours, or Nobu, the first in the Middle East combining cutting-edge Japanese style with American influences by world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Rostang, a Parisian restaurant owned by famous French chef Michel Rostang, offers a patisserie and contemporary French brasserie cuisine as well as a Wine Bar with over 40 international wines by the glass, continental beers and a fine choice of cigars or visit Ronda Locatelli run by celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli for sophisticated trattoria-style Italian cooking from brick-oven pizzas, antipasti and delicate pastas. For a casual dining experience the Atlantis has Plato's, a stylish, sophisticated lounge located just off the main lobby that offers a wide range of international patisseries and savouries or if beachside then The Edge or The Shore offer outdoor bars and grills with a poolside service for lunch or snacks, as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic signature drinks. At Barracudas and Shark Bites, both located in the water park Aquaventure, you can enjoy burgers, salads, sandwiches and Arabian food, and there are also numerous kiosks throughout the water park serving a selection of healthy and classic snacks. For special occasions you must pay a visit to Seafire Steakhouse, a New York-style steak house serving the finest cuts of beef, including Japanese Wagyu, all-natural grain fed Australian beef, and US Black Angus, prepared to order on a wood-burning grill or pay a visit to Levantine, a Lebanese restaurant with its panoramic show kitchen and belly dancers in the evening. Another great option for special occasions is Nasimi Beach, open day and night, it is a fusion of entertainment with fashion, great bars with quality dining. Occupying a stunning beachfront location with fully-serviced beach facilities, sun loungers, cabanas and day beds, plus culinary delights from Sushi and Sashimi, Asian delights to Mediterranean favourites, perfectly paired with a great selection of New World wines, cocktails and beers. After dark the venue transforms into an intimate haven with chill out atmospheric music from the resident DJ plus regular international DJ guests. Many of the restaurants have their own bars including Levantine, Rostang, Ossiana, Nobu and the Seafire Steakhouse plus there is Barazura, an elegant venue designed in a cool blue and striking metallic colours, overlooking Palm Jumeirah, it serves the latest cocktails, wines and champagnes.
Guests staying at the Atlantis can enjoy unlimited access to the Aquaventure water park where you will find thrill slides, water coasters, rivers, rapids, children's play areas, lush tropical landscapes and a private beach spread across its 42 fun filled acres. Many of the slides take you in underwater tubes through the shark-filled lagoon, some fast and some slow. There are several rapid' style rides where you can grab a ring and float along nearly two kilometres of river, follow the 600 metre path of a tidal river or twist and turn your way through the caverns and the lush tropical landscape. For younger guests that don't meet the height requirements for some of the rides, there is a water playground with tipping buckets, water cannons, climbing frames, rope bridges and water slides. Some visitors may just want to relax on the private beach and enjoy the sunshine, join a game of volleyball or just take a leisurely stroll.
Please note Due to emergency maintenance, the Royal Pool at Atlantis the Palm is closed. We anticipate that these works will be completed by 18.5.2013. Guests at the resort can enjoy the 1.5 kilometre Royal Beach or Nasimi Beach. The hours of operation have also been extended for both the Zero Entry Pool (until 22.00) and Aquaventure (until 20.30) for resort guests. Please note that both The Shore (9.00-22.00) and The Edge (9.00-19.00) will remain open.
